Volunteer call for Alien Invaders!
07 Sep 2016
Quarry Bank Mill is one of Britain's greatest industrial heritage sites and home to a working cotton mill
The Quarry Bank Mill site is dedicated to exploring what life was like for the local community, including the type of diseases and treatments they would have received.
A new exhibition is launching at the end of September called Alien Invaders and will include activities about infection in consultation with the University and Salford University.
We need two volunteers for each day during Manchester Science Festival week (24-28 October) to help deliver these activities, which will include an exhibition, outdoor scavenger hunt, and Apprentice House tour.
You don't need to be an expert! Training will be provided. Minimum commitment is 1 day.
If you enjoy interacting with the public and would like an opportunity to experience a historic site please contact joanne.pennock@manchester.ac.uk or kathryn.else@manchester.ac.uk.
