Bus priority package: Weekend working between Moss Lane East and Hathersage Road

Resurfacing of section of Oxford Road between Moss Lane East and Hathersage Road will take place this weekend
This work includes the resurfacing of the Hathersage Road junction itself.
Starting at 6.30am on Friday, 19 August and finishing late on Monday evening, the resurfacing will mean that the road is closed in both directions between these points, including a full closure of the Hathersage Road junction.
Diversion signs will be in place to help people plan their journey around this work and TfGM have produced maps for drivers and cyclists. Please note that the maps also reference the other diversions in place further along the corridor and will only be valid between Friday, 19 and late Monday, 22 August.
A number of bus services will be operating an updated diversion route and TfGM have also published details of the affected services.
In addition to the work this weekend, from Monday, 22 August through to Friday, 26 August, both Nelson Street and Denmark Road will be closed at their junctions with Oxford Road to enable further resurfacing work to take place.
The TfGM website will be updated on Monday afternoon to reflect the imminent completion of the weekend work and the start of Monday’s work at Nelson Street and Denmark Road. Two additional maps will be available for drivers and cyclists to cover the period 22-26 August.
