Professor Brian Cox OBE gives keynote speech at ESOF

Brian Cox, Professor of Particle Physics, Royal Society Professor for Public Engagement in Science and TV’s brightest science star, is a keynote speaker at the Euroscience Open Forum (ESOF).

Professor Cox sits down with Matthew Cobb, Professor of Zoology, to talk about Life, the Universe and Everything today (Monday, 25 July).

Topics may include: why Newton's apple stayed still while the Earth fell up towards it, the life and death of soft fruit, and what chance we have of finding out what's really going on in the Universe.

Professor Cox – described as the natural successor for BBC's scientific programming by both David Attenborough and the late Patrick Moore – is best known as the presenter of science programmes, especially the Wonders of... TV series and for popular science books, such as Why Does E=mc²? and The Quantum Universe.
