Manchester researchers demonstrate their trailblazing work
Our postgraduate research students demonstrated their ground-breaking work in various fields including materials, engineering and technology at the University’s annual Postgraduate Summer Research Showcase.
More than 200 students were in attendance, who displayed their work through posters and video presentations, and physical demonstrations.
Here you can see their work on a film of the event.
The event brought together researchers from different faculties, allowing them to build interdisciplinary connections and cultivate and develop useful skills, such as presenting and communicating ideas, thus creating stronger researchers of tomorrow.
It was also a great opportunity for postgraduate researchers to practise useful skills, such as presenting and communicating ideas.
Claire Hughes, manager of the University of Manchester Doctoral Centre, said “The day is all about helping and supporting our PhD students to demonstrate the impact that their research is having. It gives them the opportunity to really showcase the excellent work that’s going on here in Manchester.”
