Calling all budding film extras

Extras needed for sci-fi project around fictional outbreak of deadly virus

On Friday, 1 July, we're filming a scene for a sci-fi project based around the fictional outbreak of a deadly virus. 'Aeon' involves a series of video news bulletins which will take members of the public through a real-time pandemic response scenario. Aeon is written and directed by Richard Evans (Persona app) and produced by Ric Michael (BAFTA nominee and ex-Head of Development, Baby Cow Manchester).

We are looking for extras for one of the scenes to sit in the audience and be wowed at the launch of a new viro-therapy treatment. If you would like to be part of an exciting collaboration between Manchester scientists and creatives that will play out during Manchester Science Festival, please come to the main theatre in Waterside Arts Centre, Sale, between 11.30-2pm this Friday, 1 July. No experience is required.

The scene we’re filming is a product launch - in the style of those Apple or Google events. You won’t be featured on camera in close-up - unless you really want to be, in which case we’ll put you on the front row.

Feel free to share this link with anyone you think might be interested - anyone coming along needs to sign up online, so we know how many we’ve got coming.
