Free workshops show you how to evaluate success in public engagement
We know that there is some fantastic public engagement work going on across the University, but have you considered how you will evaluate your success? Why not come along to our free workshops?
The two sessions are open to Academic, Research Staff and PhD Researchers and can be booked through the Training Catalogue. These workshops are sponsored by Dr Sheena Cruickshank, Academic Lead for Public Engagement with Research.
They are:
Beginner’s Guide to Evaluating Public Engagement
Workshop held on Monday, 13 June, 9.30am-1pm, room 4.05 Simon Building
This interactive back-to-basics workshop will encourage you to think about why evaluation of public engagement is important; look at ways to get started; explore different techniques you can use; and consider what your findings can tell you.
Following the workshop, we will be holding an optional one-hour surgery for anyone who has a public engagement activity or project they wish to evaluate. The surgery provides a chance for you to reflect on an evaluation strategy for your own activity and how to put it into practice.
