Your intranet is about to change for the better
The University is about to launch a new-look StaffNet to provide you with better access to the information and services that you need to do your job effectively.
The new version of StaffNet, created by the Division of Communications and Marketing, will also provide an intuitive, user-centric and responsive interface and tons of more informative and fascinating news content from around the campus.
Its home page will feature clickable icons representing the most in demand information and resources, such as Email, Blackboard and IT, and a menu of other important tasks, such as Expenses and Room booking.
You can navigate to the University’s staff systems, top forms and top policies, and visit The Marketplace and Staff Discounts, as well as click on a right-hand menu of News, Announcements and Events.
You can also use mega menu at the top of the page to click onto useful pages with further information. They are:
Working here
This gives you the links to access information related to working at the University, such as Starting and Leaving, Annual Leave and About Me, a page which takes you to your MyManchester page.
News
Here you will see the StaffNet News homepage, now with a much clearer and more attractive layout showcasing the usual sections – News, Announcements, Events and Our People – and two new sections, Research and Features. You can also click onto The University of Manchester Magazine and News Archive and find out how you can contact us with a story.
Departments
This has links to departments across the campus, which you can see as Faculties and Schools, Discipline areas or Research areas, as well as PSS, Library and Cultural assets.
Resources
This is a valuable and easily accessible menu of help and support explaining ‘how to’ do a range of things, such as book services, change your details, report accidents or download software, to name but a few.
Community
This gives you a variety of ways to get involved with activities, fitness and societies or find out more about network groups and clubs, helping you achieve a healthy work-life balance.

A handy directory of all the information and services you may need, set out in alphabetical order for easy location.
