Family-friendly events for half term
25 May 2016
Be inspired by the rainforest and peppered moth at Manchester Museum
Come and have some half-term fun, inspired by the rainforest and the peppered moth, at Manchester Museum.
The free, drop-in sessions run from 11am to 4pm.
The Rainforest Big Saturday session, on Saturday, 28 May, is a day bursting with hands-on craft and art activities for all the family.
Find out what life is like in the Rainforest. Discover the incredible diversity of life as you see some of the insects and animals from the Museum’s collection. You can also find out more about some of the Museum’s live animals. Meet experts and discover more about the Vivarium’s conservation work. Explore the idea that we can’t change the past but we can change the future, and how we can each make a difference to help create the world of our choice.
Marvellous Moths, from Monday, 30 May to Friday, 3 June, tells the story of Manchester’s peppered moth in the Museum’s newly opened Climate Control exhibition, and explores the idea that we can’t change the past but we can change the future. Join us to create a growing art installation of peppered moths.
