Update on works on the Quad

Heavy machinery has now been brought into the Main Quad and underground concrete works will commence shortly. The weight of machinery and materials to carry out the works has required the positioning of a temporary bridge within the Queens Arch. This will be in position until the end of May. 

Whilst the bridge is in place, pedestrians will not be able to use the Queens Arch to gain access into the Main Quad from Oxford Road. We have therefore opened the old Museum visitor doors to allow pedestrians to move between the Main Quad and Oxford Road, in both directions, during normal working hours. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause whilst we carry out this vital work.
