Oxfam’s Duncan Green on how change happens
03 May 2016
Duncan Green, Head of Research at Oxfam GB, will be speaking at the Global Development Institute, on Tuesday, 17 May from 4.30-6pm
He will be introducing the arguments of his forthcoming book, How Change Happens. In the book He discusses the challenges that systems thinking create for traditional aid practices, and how a 'power and systems approach' requires activists, whether in campaigns, companies or governments, to fundamentally rethink the way they understand the world and try to influence it.
This lecture is being held at the end of a one dayworkshop Pushing The Frontiers of Poverty Research, organised by the Global Development Institute's Poverty and Social Justice Research Group.
