Judge our Postgraduate Summer Research Showcase 2016
25 Apr 2016
Your help could make this year's showcase a great success
The Postgraduate Summer Research Showcase, to be held this year on Thursday, 30 June, is an exciting series of events bringing together postgraduate researchers from across the University, fostering interdisciplinary networking and promoting the communication of unique and inspirational ideas.
Researchers may present their work for the showcase in the form of posters, images, short films and, new for 2016, a 3D model.
The event team would appreciate support from both academic and non-academic professional support staff, by participating in the event as a judge.
By taking on the role of a judge, you will be supporting students to develop their presentation skills – invaluable for communicating research. In fact, the presentation is just as important as the research itself.
The judging for each category – whether a poster, image, short film or 3D model – provides each student presenter with constructive feedback that will help build confidence for presentations at prominent international conferences in the future.
Each submission will be viewed by two judges: one will be academic and the other will be someone who is unfamiliar with the subject of the poster.
