Being An Astronaut: An Evening with Michael Foale

Ever wondered what it's like to be an astronaut? Find out on Wednesday, 20 April (7pm) in Renold Building, North Campus

Pint of Science are holding a one-off special event with former NASA astronaut Mike Foale, speaking about what its like to be an astronaut!

Mike is the most experienced British born astronaut in the history of human Space travel having flown on 6 Space Shuttle missions, a Soyuz and commanded the International Space Stations. He was the first Briton to perform a Space walk, during which he saved the Hubble Space Telescope. Mike was also responsible for saving the Russian MIR Space Station when it was tumbling out of control.
