Volunteer to bake for Go Green coffee morning!
07 Apr 2016
The task? Bake a cake. The challenge? Bake it as sustainably as possible!
As part of Go Green week, staff in The Atrium are hosting a coffee morning on Thursday, 21 April (10am-2pm) in The Atrium, 1st Floor of University Place.
They are asking staff across the University to kindly volunteer to bake any cakes or treats for the event. All proceeds will be donated to the Woodland Trust, the UK’s largest woodland conservation charity.
Tips for a sustainable bake:
- Use reusable silicon cupcake cases.
- Use a vegan recipe (cut down on the use of eggs and milk to reduce your carbon footprint).
- Buy Fairtrade, organic, free range or local products.
If you would like to bake for the event, please fill out this short form regarding allergen information.
Bakes should be dropped off at The Atrium on the morning of the event and Tupperware should be collected from The Atrium at your convenience after the event. Please don’t forget to label any Tupperware with your name and the bake name with allergens!
