Have a cracking Easter!
24 Mar 2016
And remember to give your appliances a break too
Please switch off your appliances before you leave for the Easter break.
During the 2015 Easter break, the University monitored ten buildings that had turned off all non-essential appliances. From that it was calculated that the University could save as much as £650,000 over the whole year, if colleagues switched off during breaks, evenings and weekends.
So make sure you log off your managed desktop PCs, switch off any lights and non-essential appliances, including equipment such as water baths and drying ovens.
And also remember to close windows and doors when you’re doing a final check!
