Calling all coaches

The Staff Learning and Development team would like to hear from you
More University colleagues than ever before have benefitted from coaching or are looking to find a coach or become a coach. To further build on this momentum, the Staff Learning and Development (L&D) team want to do two things that will be of interest to you if you have any form of coaching (or mentoring) accreditation and experience.
Firstly, we want to build our coaching register to ensure we are aware of all accredited coaches in the University. We feel quite sure for example that there will be a number of academic colleagues whose coaching credentials we are not aware of. If you have a coaching qualification, please let us know. You are not committing to doing anything by getting in touch, but there will be benefits as outlined below. If you decide that you would be willing to offer some of your time to other colleagues in a coaching or mentoring capacity that would be a real bonus – you would of course retain total discretion over which potential coaching clients you work with, if any.
Secondly, the Staff L&D team is setting up a programme of activities aimed at coaches and mentors working in the University. Activities will include options for coaching supervision, skills updating and networking with other coaches and mentors. A little later we will look to extend some optional elements of the programme outside the University so that a wider professional network can be created.
