Keeping Alan Turing's memory green
25 Feb 2016
Staff are welcome to attend the planting of a tree in memory of Alan Turing outside the Chaplaincy, Oxford Road on Monday, 29 February (12.30pm)
The ceremony is a joint venture by St Peter's House, Sustainability and ALLOUT (our LGBT network) and the City Council.
If you would like to attend, please assemble outside the Chaplaincy (Building No 32 on the campus map).
After the welcome remarks, representatives of each group will join in planting the tree, and James Hopkins (University Historian and Heritage Manager), Rev Terry Biddington (Chaplaincy Coordinator) and a member of ALLOUT will each say a few words.
Alan Turing will then be toasted with wine, juice and cakes served inside St Peter's House.
There'll also be the opportunity to take part in a small art installation next to the tree.
