Come to one of our consultation events in March

Would you like to help shape the future of the University’s work to engage its local communities? If so, you can come along to one of two consultation events planned in March. 

Our University produces a wide range of value to our most local communities. This ranges from access to research expertise, employment opportunities, student learning and volunteering, culture, science, schools engagement, enterprise and expenditure in the local economy.

At the same time, Manchester’s communities provide rich and diverse opportunities for staff and students to address some of the world’s greatest challenges and offer thousands of staff and students attractive places to live and study.

Building on these strengths, a group chaired by Professor James Thompson is currently developing a new framework for community engagement to better focus, measure and communicate our impact in our most local communities.
