Calling all PhDs and Postdocs working in dementia-related fields
16 Feb 2016
Meet up with your peers at KroBar on Monday, 14 March (4.30pm)
After the success of the cross-University Dementia@Manchester research showcase held on 20 January, we thought it was a shame that there was nothing in place for dementia PhDs and postdocs to meet and get to know what everyone is working on.
We were inspired by how the meeting of research professionals from across disciplines could facilitate such interesting discussions about the study of dementia in today’s world. We therefore thought that it would be useful to get to know other dementia PhD students and postdocs across the university so that we can share knowledge and get to know each other. The idea of a dementia PhD group is still in its infancy but we thought it would provide a prime opportunity for more networking and presentation/information events! For now though, we thought it might be nice for everyone to meet in an informal setting.
That’s why we thought of meeting up in KroBar on Monday, 14 March, at 4.30 pm. Grab a drink, or grab some food, and meet your peers!
If you want to come along, just drop us an email so we roughly know how many of you there will be.
In the meantime, join the #demphd network on twitter
