Time to Talk: a great response
16 Feb 2016
Thursday, 4 February was Time to Talk Day, the day for the nation to get talking about mental health and help remove the surrounding stigmas
The University held information sessions and a charity bake sale for the mental health charity Mind in University Place and the Atrium.
We had a fantastic response from those wishing to donate to the bake sale, and both the event and its message reached many staff and students alike.
It is our pleasure to announce that the total raised from bake sales held for this year’s Time to Talk Day came to £352.69. Thank you to everyone who engaged with Time to Talk Day and made this event a successful vehicle for change.
This is absolutely fantastic and will go towards facilitating the great work that Mind do, tackling the misconceptions around mental health, providing a supportive and informative advice service, and overall moving towards a society where mental health is on an equal platform with physical health in every way.
