We need your help as a staff volunteer to make JustFest 2016, the University of Manchester’s very own social justice festival, a success.
JustFest 2016 takes place on campus on March 9th 2016, 12.00 pm to 4.00 pm. JustFest celebrates the University’s commitment to social responsibility and is a flagship event of the University’s Ethical Grand Challenges programme.
JustFest aims to encourage and enable UoM students to explore aspects of social justice in a creative and festival environment of performance and exhibition, stimulating curiosity and providing a springboard towards further action for a just society.
On the day there will be:
- Main Stage (next to Academy 1) - bands & spoken word artists
- Academy 1 - hands-on exhibition & short films igloo
- Talks Tent - soap-box-style sessions
- Food stalls ……. and quite a few surprises!
Staff volunteers are needed for a variety of jobs on the day of JustFest including helping to set up the Exhibition and Talks Tent in the morning and then providing the public face of JustFest in the afternoon by helping students and contributors during the festival.
