Help to raise money for mental health charity Mind on Time to Talk Day (4 February)
One in four people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year, according to mental health charity Mind, yet stigmas and misconceptions continue around mental health.
Help to break the silence
Thursday, 4 February 2016 is Time to Talk Day, and Time to Change, England's biggest programme to challenge mental health stigma and discrimination, is asking the nation to take five minutes to have a conversation about mental health.
We’re asking staff and students to ‘Take a Break’ and join us in the University Place foyer between 11am and 2pm on Thursday, 4 February, when we will be holding a bake sale to raise money for mental health charity Mind. Last year we managed to raise £107 for this great cause.
We’re calling for volunteers to bake (or donate) cakes, brownies, biscuits or flapjacks.
