Teaching Excellence and the Green Paper - joint student/staff discussion event

04 Dec 2015

Join us for the first open conversation on Monday, 14 December 2015 (5-7pm) in Students' Union, Oxford Road

Teaching Excellence green paper

"Change should be driven by the people at the heart of the system – students, teachers and staff...” (Megan Dunn, NUS National President, 2015)

You are invited to attend the inaugural Talking about Teaching and Learning Seminar, a series that intends to provide an opportunity where staff and students can meet to discuss areas related to the learning experience.  This is a joint activity between the Teaching and Learning Support Office and UMSU to encourage conversations about topics of interest.

In the first of the series Michael Spence (Education Officer, Students' Union) and Clive Agnew (Vice-President, Teaching, Learning and Students) will introduce the proposals to change the face of HE and the impacts on institutions, teaching and the student experience. Through discussion and activities we ask for your thoughts, comments and opinions as both the University and Students' Union ready themselves for changes ahead.

As an open conversation, no prior knowledge is needed. If you are a staff member or student, are interested in learning and teaching and would like to develop or share your ideas, please feel free to come along.

Refreshments will be provided.
