Today is #GivingTuesday – the global day of giving

Across campus there are a number of events happening and ways for you to take part

#GivingTuesday about is looking for ways to give time, give your voice or consider giving donations to causes you care about.

Please come along to any of the following events and share them with your friends and colleagues:

Staff and student #GivingTuesday Fair – Students' Union;
Staff and student Make a Difference Fair – Renold Building;
A giant raffle in support of St Ann’s Hospice, The Mustard Tree and The Christie (view the list of prizes) – raffle tickets on sale at both fairs! £2 each or three for £5;
Food drop offs at Renold Building for Lemn Sissay’s Carers charity;
Toy drop offs at John Owens Building (Room G.029) for Wood Street Mission;
Sign up for the Workplace Giving Scheme by 4 December 2015 and your donation can be boosted by £10;
Campus walk from Zochonis entrance at 12.15pm to Renolds Building (return for 1pm);
Post a quote or short paragraph at Social Responsibility Blog about why your charity is special, how you give your time or donate money to your charity or your most difficult/funniest fundraising challenge.

Manchester was the first University to sign up for #GivingTuesday last year and our leading example was shared via #GivingTuesday: Manchester - A university that leads by example as part of the regional Manchester Gives More campaign.
