CHERIL conference: Teaching in Higher Education: Practice and Politics

The Centre for Higher Education Research, Innovation and Learning (CHERIL) invites you to their first annual conference on Monday, 7 December 2015 in Manchester Conference Centre
This one-day event offers delegates the opportunity to explore CHERIL’s aims and achievements, to hear from key HE strategists, and to learn more about our 2014/15 projects.
Speakers will include:
- Nick Hillman, Director of Higher Education Policy Institute (HEPI)
- Professor Andrew Westwood, Associate Vice-President for Public Affairs, The University of Manchester
There will be eight parallel talks by 2014-15 award holders, plus an opportunity to view poster presentations from other funded projects.
The conference will take place in Manchester Conference Centre, Weston Building, Sackville Street, Manchester, M1 3BB.

The broad aims of CHERIL are:
- to provide University Senior Management with strategic advice on developments in teaching and learning across the sector;
- to promote original, rigorous educational research into pedagogy, policy and practice in HE;
- to promote inquiry into practice in HE teaching;
- to serve institutional needs by helping University and Faculty teaching agendas to engage with day to day academic teaching practice.
