Reminder: End of support for Windows Server 2003

If you are still running Windows Server 2003 or below, contact the IT Support Centre as soon as possible.

Support for the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Operating System will end on Tuesday 14 July 2015.

From this date any servers will be at an increased risk due to the termination of support and future security updates.

These servers must be upgraded as soon as possible.

We have been scanning the network for Windows 2003 servers and contacting service owners where possible.

If we are unable to find an owner or are unable to successfully engage, we will disconnect any affected servers remaining after Tuesday 14 July.

We are also monitoring for computers still running Windows XP and will disconnect these.

For information and help with this, please contact the IT Support Centre as soon as possible, otherwise you will find that these computers cannot be used on the network.
