Research Impact: Evidencing the REF
22 Jun 2015
Professor Luke Georghiou, Vice-President for Research and Innovation, is among the speakers at this conference to be held on 14 July 2015 at King’s House Conference Centre, Manchester
The Research Excellence Framework (REF) is the new system for assessing the quality of research in UK higher education institutions. Last year the research of 154 UK universities was assessed with thirty percent of submissions judged to be world-leading. The four UK higher education funding bodies allocate over £2 billion a year of research funding to universities, in 2015-16 and beyond. REF exercise will be informing the distribution of funds on the basis of quality and impact of research in all disciplines.
This conference will explore case studies and testimonials to help universities effectively measure impact and offer practical guidance on delivering high quality submissions across disciplines and projects.
