Building on the success of EMiT 2014 here at the University of Manchester, EMiT 2015 is expanding to a 2-day event at The Place Aparthotel on Ducie Street, Manchester.
This year, some of the topics covered are:
- New microprocessor chips
- New techniques to accelerate research
- Low energy computing
With more topics to to follow.
Keynote speakers:
- Prof. Stephen Furber (The University of Manchester)
- Prof. Laura Grigori (Inria)
- Dr John Linford (ParaTools Inc)
- Dr Filippo Mantovani (Mont-Blanc Project)
There are also an additional 16 presentations covering a wide variety of topics.
Over the two days, there will be international speakers and major vendors including Intel and HP. It's an excellent networking opportunity and a chance for researchers to engage and perhaps get sponsorship deals or detailed support. There is also free training on the following two days.
