Judges needed for Postgraduate Summer Research Showcase 2015
29 May 2015
Help our PhD students develop their skills in presenting their research to different audiences
Judges are needed for this year’s Postgraduate Summer Research Showcase (PSRS), on Friday, 5 June 2015 (10.30am to 5pm) in Whitworth Hall and Christie's Bistro.
This is the second PSRS following the successful inaugural Showcase last year, when there were 174 posters from across the four Faculties.
This time there is a 208 poster split between the four Faculties; however the event needs more staff members to help with poster judging.
One of the primary aims of PSRS is to help our PhD students develop their skills in presenting and communicating their research to different audiences. The poster judging has been designed so that each poster will be judged by an academic member of staff as well as a member of staff who is far less familiar with the subject matter. The judging criteria can be found here.
Each judge will be assigned a maximum of seven posters in either the morning session (10.30am to 12.30pm), or the afternoon session (1pm to 3pm).
Even if you only able to make an hour, but would like to help with judging, that would also be helpful.
