Sexuality Summer School: Queer Arts as Activism

Public events on and around campus from 18 to 22 May 2015
The Sexuality Summer School is a five-day event for postgraduates, organised by the Centre for the Study of Sexuality and Culture (CSSC) at the University siince 2008 and funded by the Faculty of Humanities, and partnered by Manchester Pride, Contact and Screen.
In 2015 it will bring to Manchester a combination of scholars, artists, performers, filmmakers and writers. to facilitate dialogue and discussions that speak to contemporary debates in queer and feminist sexuality studies, with a particular emphasis on the interdisciplinary study of culture.
The public events below accompany the Sexuality Summer School. All events, apart from David Hoyle’s “I, Victim” at Contact, are free with no booking required. First come first served: arrive early to avoid disappointment.
