WATCH: Donations make a difference
20 Apr 2015
The University recently welcomed supporters onto campus to celebrate the impact of their donations across campus
A special showcase revealed some of the many areas that have benefitted from donor support, from funding ground-breaking cancer research and providing disadvantaged young people with life-changing scholarships to building world-class facilities on campus and protecting rare species of frogs at the Manchester Museum vivarium.
Guests were also treated to behind-the-scenes tours of Whitworth Art Gallery, University Library, Manchester Museum and National Graphene Institute, all of which have benefitted significantly from donor support. We were then joined on stage by Professor Brian Cox who discussed the importance of donations with scholarship recipients on stage.
The day culminated with a special ceremony and dinner in which some of the University’s most significant donors were inaugurated into the President’s Circles of Philanthropy.
