Shortlist announced for Making a Difference Awards

Forty individuals and teams have been shortlisted to receive Making A Difference Awards for their contributions to social responsibility at the University
Open to all staff and students at the University, the Making a Difference Awards celebrate and raise awareness of how individuals and teams at the University are making a difference to the social and environmental wellbeing of our communities and wider society.
All the shortlisted entrants have been invited to a major awards ceremony on 7 May, at which Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell will present awards to the overall winners in each of the following categories:
- Research impact on society
- Curriculum innovation in social responsibility
- Aspiring social enterprise
- Social enterprise
- Local community collaboration
- Public engagement
- Equality and diversity
- PSS support for social responsibility
- Environmental sustainability (staff)
- Environmental sustainability (students)
- Widening participation
