‘In Conversation’ with Professor Brian Cox
18 Mar 2015
Celebration of Philanthropy on Thursday, 26 March in University Place
Members of staff are invited to attend an 'In Conversation with’ Professor Brian Cox which is part of the Celebration of Philanthropy taking place on campus on Thursday, 26 March. This is a day to celebrate the impact of philanthropy in research, innovation and scholarship made possible by the support of our donors, and the commitment shown to us by so many over our long history.
During the ‘In Conversation with’ Professor Cox will take questions from a panel of three students - a current undergraduate Manchester Access Programme student, a donor funded Physics PhD student and a sixth-former from Oldham College.
Following the ‘In conversation with’, you are invited to visit the Philanthropy Showcase in University Place where you can gain an insight into the many areas of the University that receive donor funding and speak to those who have directly benefitted from donor generosity, as well as insights into ground-breaking research being undertaken here on campus. There will also be a drinks and canapés reception.
There are a very limited number of places left, so please book now to avoid disappointment.
The 'In conversation with’ will take place in Lecture Theatre B, University Place and start promptly at 4.30pm. Please arrive 10 minutes before the event is due to start.
The Philanthropy Showcase and Reception will be held on the ground floor of University Place.
