Join the Manchester International Festival - at a discounted rate

As a thank you for the University's generous support of Manchester International Festival, you are being offered reduced rate membership of the Festival as one of the staff benefits from this partnership

For the first time, the University is sponsoring the Manchester International Festival which takes place between 2–19 July 2015. Launched in 2007, the Festival is the world's first festival of original, new works and special events and takes place biennially, in Manchester. It is an artist-led, commissioning Festival presenting new works from across the spectrum of performing arts, visual arts and popular culture.

Commissions already announced and on sale for 2015 include Damon Albarn, Rufus Norris and Moira Buffini's musical wonder.land inspired by Lewis Carroll's iconic Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and the collaborative contemporary ballet Tree of Codes, inspired by the book of the same name by Jonathan Safran Froer.

This year, the University has joined the pool of corporate sponsors as Silver Supporters, which means that there are multiple ways for our staff and students to engage with MIF15. One of these is the chance to become Festival Members for the reduced price of £45 (usually £55).

  • Priority ticket booking from 1pm on Thursday, 5 March (up to four tickets for each commission);*
  • First to hear about new MIF commissions and special events via MIF Member-only e-newsletter;
  • A pair of tickets for a dress rehearsal (not for public sale, announced in June 2015);*
