Your ideas wanted for Policy Week 2015
02 Mar 2015
Planning is now well under way for Policy Week 2015, which has the theme Science, Technology and Public Policy – and organisers are looking for great event ideas from colleagues across the University
Policy Week runs from 2-6 November and is policy@manchester’s flagship engagement event, attracting top speakers and contributors from the world of policy, along with hundreds of enthusiastic attendees.
The deadline for submission of initial ideas is 17 April. As in 2014, the programme is expected to be very busy, so anyone interested in getting involved is advised to submit their ideas early.
Events do not just have to be about science and technology policy, but rather the impact that science and technology may have on different aspects of our society - and the potential implications for policymaking.
Organisers are looking in particular for creative, interactive and innovative events that move away from the usual panel discussion or keynote address format.
This year’s Policy Week theme supports Manchester as the European City of Science in 2016, when the major ESOF conference will also be held in the city.
