Manchester Informatics hosts series of cross-disciplinary events
Manchester Informatics, a multidisciplinary research centre drawing together expertise from across the University, is running a series of lunchtime seminars focusing on the theme of neuroscience and Human Behaviour.
The Human Behaviour Network is an interdisciplinary community spanning several parts of the University and those with an interest in research on human behaviour – particularly in the context of interactions with technology – are very welcome to attend.
The next Seminar will take place on Tuesday, 24 February 2015, 12pm-1pm in Atlas 1, Kilburn Building.
Professor Jo Neill from Manchester Pharmacy School will present 'Modelling human psychiatric illness in animals: promises and pitfalls.'
In relation to her recent work with a new drug target for schizophrenia, Professor Neill will focus on negative symptoms such as reduced mood and social dysfunction. Along with her most recent research on developing preclinical models of ADHD, Alzheimer’s disease and schizophrenia, Jo’s expertise is in development and validation of preclinical models of psychiatric disorders.
