Academic Masterclasses for Spring 2015
09 Jan 2015
Places available on the new programme
The new series of academic masterclasses begins this month.
Led by leading academics and support staff, the classes help academic staff with their Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
The lunchtime sessions and online resources cover a wide range of topics including: managing research centres, supporting the career development of researchers, teaching large lectures, being a programme director and finance skills for principal investigators.
Dr Kingsley Purdam, Director for Academic Staff Training and Development, said: “There is clearly an appetite amongst academics to share their skills and experiences. We have continued to invest in the programme with new masterclasses for 2015. The ongoing undertaking of professional training is increasingly seen as an important part of academic staff career development.”
Each masterclass includes tea and coffee and the opportunity to share experiences with fellow academics.
