Fake "Library Account Access", "Remittance advice" and "Christmas Offers" emails
23 Dec 2014
We've had reports of a number of fake emails today, including a "Library Account Access" email appearing to come from the University.
Some people have also received emails with the subject "Remittance advice" and "Christmas offers".
These emails are not genuine, have not been sent by the University and you should delete these emails immediately.
The external address hidden and linked to in the Library Account Access email has been blocked from the University network, but opening the attachments in the other emails may cause damage.
If you have not opened these attachments then you can simply delete the messages and you don't need to contact us.
However, if you have opened the attachment or if you have any concerns about IT Security, please contact the IT Service Desk.
