Professor Stephen Flint takes role as Professor Colin Bailey becomes Deputy President and Deputy Vice-Chancellor
Professor Stephen Flint will become acting Vice-President and Dean for the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences from 1 January 2015, when Professor Colin Bailey takes up his new role as the University’s Deputy President and Deputy Vice-Chancellor.
The recruitment process for a permanent Vice-President and Dean for the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences is ongoing.
Steve is currently Associate Dean for Internationalisation in the Faculty and has been a member of the Faculty Leadership Team in this role since his appointment here in 2012.
Commenting on his appointment, he said: “I am looking forward to working with the whole EPS team to continue our mission towards being one of the top Engineering and Physical Sciences Faculties in the UK, and one of the top 25 in the world. The Faculty has made significant progress towards this goal over recent years under Colin’s leadership, and I am keen to ensure we retain and build upon our recent achievements to reach this ambitious goal.”
