January Cycle to Work Event
17 Dec 2014
The First Cycle to Work Event of 2015 will take place on Wednesday, 7 January (8.15-9.15am) at Vasaio (formerly Potters), Simon Building
The event is open to all staff cyclists from Corridor Manchester Institutions, or those who wish to come along and find out more about cycling to work. Please register in advance using the Eventbrite link, or turn up on the day.
For the first event of the New Year we are using a new venue on campus, the fresh pasta bar Vasaio, located in the Simon Building on Brunswick Street. The breakfast menu offers an exciting range of Italian classics, shown below:
- Smoked Bacon on Ciabatta
- Four Cheese Foccacia
- Ham & Cheese Strombolini
- Mozzerella & Cherry Tomato Strombolini
- Sausage Bread
- A selection of hot fresh Danish pastries
- Fresh fruit salad
For those of you who prefer English breakfast fare, toast is also available!
The University’s Crime Reduction Advisor will be at the side of the Roscoe Building (across the road from the Simon Building), offering bicycle registration and marking to UoM staff. Anyone wishing to have an overt mark applied to their bicycle frame can register using the online registration link below, which means that the mark can be applied straightaway on the day. The service will be available 08.00 – 09.30 and is dependent on the weather, as marking cannot take place if it rains.
