Extension of the appointment of the President and Vice-Chancellor

At its most recent meeting held on Wednesday 26 November 2014, the Board of Governors approved the reappointment of the President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Nancy Rothwell for a period of six years effective from 1 July 2014

Dame Nancy was originally appointed President and Vice-Chancellor by the Board of Governors on 1 July 2010 on a renewable fixed term contract for a period of seven years.

Commenting on the decision, Mr Anil Ruia, Chair of the Board of Governors, said: “The decision reflects the Board’s confidence in Nancy’s leadership and is an acknowledgement of her role in the University’s outstanding performance over the past four years. It also helps to ensure that we will continue to benefit from her dynamic and effective leadership right up to 2020.”
