Make your own Christmas wreath at Jodrell Bank

27 Nov 2014

Join Head Gardener Becky on Saturday, 13 December (1-3pm) to create a Planetary Nebula (or festive wreath, if you prefer) for your front door with foliage, berries and crab apples collected from the gardens

Sorbus Leonard Messel

All materials will be provided but please bring your own cutting tools and gloves to work with!

Tickets cost £20 adults and £18 for concessions. The price includes all-day entry to the Discovery Centre and Arboretum where you’ll be able to see the source of your creation! Warming spiced apple drink or tea/coffee and piece of Planet Pavilion Christmas Cake are also included.

A planetary nebula is a nebula that is made up of gas and plasma and are made by certain types of stars when they die. They are named this because they look like planets through small optical telescopes and emit colours which we can emulate with stems, berries and foliage!
