University staff and students marked Armistice Day at 11am on Tuesday, 11 November across campus and at two special locations, The Old Quad and the Martin Harris Centre
Music students played ‘The Last Post’ to introduce a two-minute silence in the foyer of Martin Harris Centre for Music and Drama,
In the Old Quad, through the arch on Oxford Road, staff and students gathered for a two-minute silence, to reflect and to remember the members of the armed forces who have died in the line of duty.
Members of staff also gathered at the war memorials in the Sackville Street Building yesterday to observe the silence.
