Registrations welcome for event chaired by BBC Home Editor Mark Easton
Manchester Academic Health Science Centre (MAHSC) – the partnership between the University and six NHS organisations, uniting leading healthcare providers with world-class academics and researchers – is hosting an event to showcase its impact on health.
The high-profile event – chaired by BBC Home Editor Mark Easton and held on Monday 15 December – aims to raise partner staff awareness among across the MAHSC partnership of the impact our research, education and clinical care is having on the health of our local population.
Researchers, clinicians and other health experts are taking part in the day, and Mark Easton is chairing as he has a particular interest in the socio-economic and health issues facing UK communities.
Sessions include:
- Interactive case studies from across Greater Manchester
- £10 million debate – where would you invest?
- Young people present their view of local health challenges
- The future of health
MAHSC staff are invited to apply for a place at this exciting and unique event. Please be aware there is already very high demand for seats and these will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The conference is free to attend and lunch and refreshments will be provided.
