National fire strikes announced
27 Oct 2014
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service will join other services across England and Wales in a series of strikes from 6pm on Friday, 31 October 2014 to 6pm on Tuesday, 4 November 2014
Although it will still be responding to emergencies, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service has stated that it will be offering a reduced level of cover during the strikes, i.e. there will be a limited number of fire engines available and the firefighters riding them will not be trained to the same level as current crews.
At this time more than ever, you need to think about fire and road safety and take extra care to protect yourself and your loved ones at home, at work and on the roads.
