Former Deputy Prime Minister Lord Heseltine will give the Opening Address at this year’s Manchester Policy Week, which runs from 3-7 November.
Lord Heseltine will give a free public lecture at Manchester Town Hall on Monday, 3 November to mark the start of the third annual Policy Week, organised by policy@manchester.
This is the most ambitious Policy Week yet. It is booking up quickly and staff are encouraged to participate and join in the debate.
This year’s Policy Week marks the launch of the University’s Social Responsibility Signature Programme called Addressing Inequality, which is also the main theme of the five-day event.
Other events during Policy Week include a debate on inequality chaired by BBC Newsnight’s Evan Davis, a keynote lecture on housing inequality from Prof Danny Dorling, and a debate on poverty with Shadow International Development Minister Alison McGovern.
