She was leading a discussion on the work of the House of Lords and the ways that its Members of the House scrutinise media and communications issues.

A debate followed the Speaker’s main address and was chaired by Arif Ansari, who is the BBC News North West’s political editor.

This event was arranged by policy@manchester in partnership with the House of Lords, and the Houses of Parliament’s Outreach Service.
