Sustainability in the Curriculum
02 Oct 2014
New series of meetings to discuss integrating campus or city-based activities into the curriculum
A news series of Sustainability in the Curriculum meetings starts on Wednesday 15 October.
This first meeting will discuss ways of integrating campus or city-based sustainability related activities and projects into the curriculum, and the potential value of ‘place-based’ activities within the curriculum.
The Living Lab is keen to support such activity and Dr Ross Jones, of the School of the Environment, Education and Development, will be introducing the work of the Living Lab in the first part of the meeting.
Ross will discuss how the Living Lab can be used to facilitate collaboration and innovation on campus and in broader city projects. He will demonstrate the Living Lab website and explain what it offers to staff and students. He will also discuss the key role students can play as agents of change, and how Living Lab is working to facilitate more student-led sustainability projects on campus and in the city.
Everyone is welcome to attend and share any related thoughts, ideas or experiences of campus or city-based sustainability related teaching activities and ways of supporting the Living Lab work. Both staff and students are welcome.
- The meeting is on Wednesday, 15 October, 2pm to 4pm, in University Place, Room 5.206.
