The Confucius Institute Mandarin courses begin this month.
The language courses are 10 weeks in duration, commencing from the week beginning 29 September 2014.
They include:
Beginner Conversational Chinese - A beginners' course which focuses on developing the skills of listening and speaking in Mandarin Chinese. The courses aim to equip the students with useful words and phrases for practical use and will run on Tuesday evenings from 6-8pm.
Confidence Chinese – Spread across ten levels, this series is designed for those who wish to develop their Chinese oral communication skills but have limited time. Confidence sessions run once a week from 6-8pm on either a Tuesday or a Wednesday evening.
Chinese in Steps – With four levels, this series caters to students of all abilities who wish to develop all four skills, i.e. reading, writing, speaking and listening, in tandem. Participants are required to commit to two evenings per week, with Step sessions running on both Mondays and Thursdays from 6-8pm.
Other courses:
HSK Preparation Courses - We are an official HSK test centre and currently run tailor-made preparation courses for both HSK 3 and HSK 4. Find out more about the HSK examinations and how they can help you qualify for a Confucius Institute scholarship in the HSK section of our website. Courses run for six weeks with classes taught between 6-8pm on a Monday evening, commencing 13 October 2014.

Remember, as a Confucius Institute student you will also be eligible to apply for a Confucius Institute Scholarship to study in China for up to a year!
