Gordon Burns chairs Question Time style debate on local health services tonight

Have your say on the future of local health services in Greater Manchester at the first in a series of debates in Renold Building, North Campus on Wednesday, 10 September (7-8.30pm)
Members of the public will get the chance to have their say about the biggest ever changes to health services in Greater Manchester, at a series of Question Time style debates during September.
The Healthier Together programme is the Greater Manchester (GM) Programme for Health and Social Care (H&SC) Reform, which is proposing changes to improve care in hospitals and the community. It aims to reduce variation in care across Greater Manchester so all patients can access and receive excellent health care.
The event will give members of the public the opportunity to ask questions about the Healthier Together proposals, which aim to improve health services across Greater Manchester.
Gordon Burns, journalist and former presenter of The Krypton Factor, will chair the debate at the Renold Building on Wednesday, September 10th, from 7pm-8.30pm.
Expert panellists including doctors and health service leaders will answer questions and give their views supporting and challenging the proposals at the events.
Further debates are running across Greater Manchester until the end of September, meaning there are a number of opportunities for people to have their say.
Chris Brookes, Healthier Together Medical Director, said: “The Healthier Together ‘Question Time’ events are an opportunity for people to come and find out more about the planned changes to health services in Greater Manchester and a chance for them to pose questions to our panel of experts.
“These proposals represent the biggest changes to date to health services in Greater Manchester and it is vital that people have their say now about how they want hospital, GP and community health services to be provided in the future.”
