IT Transformation - Making IT happen
12 Aug 2014
The programme of work to transform IT Services is now well underway, with the formal period of staff and trade union consultation having now begun.
- A single University IT structure – one IT team
- A professional IT service that is customer focussed
- An IT service that is agile and responsive to the needs of the University
Developments with the IT Transformation Programme are being overseen and steered by the Transformation Advisory Board - a group of senior University colleagues chaired by Deputy President, Professor Rod Coombs.
The Transformation Advisory Board serves to provide University-wide input to the IT Transformation process, advising on governance and engagement processes between IT Services and the wider University. Membership of the group includes senior representatives from Faculty operations, Library, MBS, Finance, HR, Research and Teaching, plus of course IT Director, Gerry Pennell.
The formal consultation period (for IT Services staff and trade unions) will run up until September, with plans to implement the new structure from early December 2014.
